From this study it was found that most production of the decorative patterns on religious buildings is based on the wisdom of local sculptors that had been passed down. The result was presented using descriptive analysis. The data was analysed using ideology on identity and wisdom, structural-functional theory and cultural-diffusion theory. The research tools used were surveys, observations and interviews. The populations of the study were experts, practitioners and related people in Keng Tung.

Qualitative research methods were used in collecting the documents and field research data in Keng Tung.
